SOE has some very exciting news surrounding Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. This summer, the beloved fantasy MMORPG will officially go free-to-play, providing a membership system very similar to those seen in the recently transitioned DC Universe Online, EverQuest and EverQuest II.

To add, the Vanguard development team has been ramped up, with Andy Sites (Director of Development), Salim "Silius" Grant (Creative Director) and Todd "Hobart" Schmidt (Technical Director) at the helm, and ready to take the game in exciting new directions full of regular new content, updates and much more. The first game update of 2012 will be hitting later this week!
