World’s Best Players Compete in Joymax’s Massively Multiplayer Online
Role-Playing Game
San Jose, CA - November 30, 2007 - Joymax, an independent developer of
interactive entertainment for the global market, will host the worldwide
championship of Silkroad Online in Seoul, Korea for cash prizes. Silkroad
Online, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game taking place along the
historic Silk Road trade route, is one of six games included in this year’s
Game & Game World Championship (GNGWC) on December 1st.
Two U.S. players, including last year’s champion, battled their way through
the North American qualifying round in October. For their efforts, they will
travel to Korea at Joymax’s expense to compete in the global finals, along
with finalists from Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan and Japan. In addition to
the adrenaline-filled competition, the finalists will be treated to tours of
Seoul, fine dining, and cocktails with Silkroad Online staff and Game Masters.
At the conclusion of the final round, the top player will head home with $5,000
US, with second and third place receiving $3,000 US and $1,000 US, respectively.
Finalists will compete for cash and prizes on December 1st at the SoftExpo
