Los Angeles, CA - May 3, 2012 - Nexon America, the North American
publishing arm of NEXON Co., Ltd. ("Nexon") (3659.TO), has appointed Makoto Iwai
as senior vice president, corporate strategy and promoted Min Kim to senior vice
president, live games. Additionally, Nexon America has hired Eundo Chae as vice
president, live game production.
Mokoto Iwai joins Nexon America from Namco Bandai Games America, Inc., where he
most recently served as the Bandai label president.
Mr. Iwai brings more than 20 years of experience in the video game and
technology industries to Nexon, having served in a variety of positions with
Namco Bandai Games including executive vice president and chief operating
officer, and senior vice president of development. He also held various
management positions at Sony Computer Entertainment in Tokyo and Seoul. In his
role at Nexon America, he will focus on growth opportunities, strategic
partnerships, finance operations and corporate planning and strategy, reporting
to Nexon America?s CEO, Daniel Kim.
Min Kim, who helped establish Nexon America in 2005, oversees all live game
operations, marketing, public relations and community for Nexon America. He most
recently served as vice president, live games, and reports to Nexon America?s
CEO Daniel Kim.
Eundo Chae comes to Nexon America from NEXON Korea Corporation, where he served
as general manager, live game development. With 10 years of experience at Nexon,
Mr. Chae played a major role in the development of the Company's robust online
games portfolio, including managing the service of global hits such as
MapleStory. As vice president of live game production, Mr. Chae will lead Nexon
America?s game service and will report to Min Kim, senior vice president, live
games.
